Briman, I did call them. They told me that 1/8 inch is an acceptable variance. I didn't believe them but I'm no expert so I came to you guys. They told me that I should just accept it. If I don't want it I can return it for a full refund, but there's a 25% restocking fee. It'll come out close to $400 for that 25%
as far as i am concerned those fees dont apply because its not that you didnt like it. its that you didnt get what you ordered. you simply want the correct size rings. contact the BBB.
My buddy works in a machine shop that does CNC work and molds. They get BIG blocks of Alum to work with. When he designing the molds or products he deals with tolerances of 0.0001" and a 0.125" is way more then that.
I would send them back and get what you payed for, don't take there lies. Being a bead lock you might need that extra 1/8 for structural reasons.

Exactly my sentiments. I'm not returning something I ordered. I didn't get what I ordered. It's like going to a restaurant and ordered steak, but got chicken instead.
MudlovingFJ, this isn't strike 2. More like strike 5. I'm a patient man, but I think they've mistaken me for a fool.

If they are playing that way Tony I say call up your CC company and dispute the charges like others have said. They just don't want to loose any money or material since your 1/2 rings would have to be thrown away.

I'll prepare a dispute package for my credit card company. Once the dust is settled. I'll let you guys know the details once everything is settled. I don't want you guys to fall prey. I'll also let the forum that pointed me to them know what happened.
Should I contact BBB now or later?

Wish I'd seen this sooner... but yes 1/8th is laughable.
One tenth of a thousandth is better than most shops can handle (0.0001) and this is more of a grinding tolerance. Raw material will vary by 0.005" or so but if they are machining that close to the size of the raw stock they are idiots anyway.
