It'll last at least 8 hours on a fresh set of batteries. I accidentally hit the switch to turn it on, when stuffing it in the center console once. It was in the case & I didn't notice it until approx 8 hours later and it still had a good beam. Wasn't QUITE as strong as fresh batteries, but not weak enough to toss the batteries yet. I've read estimates of 12 hour battery life. What really sold me was the lifetime warranty on the back of the packaging. Just return to any Lowes for a replacement means it's a flashlight for life, as long as Lowes is in business. So save that receipt & packaging.
Thanks for the info!

yes! the light is concentrated. Think light saber! It doesn't fit in my pocket but i can put it on my belt. Never did though! My L4 is to big in my pocket also, rather have it on my belt. seriously if you got the time, go to Lowes and pick one up. It's only 30 bucks. You really can't go wrong for the price and the warranty.
too big for your pocket???

this is my L4 next to two of my carry knives. not the new benchmade though. its not too big at all. usually the black benchmade is in the same pocket clipped. i hate having things in my pockets, but i hardly notice these. maybe because it is a habit.

Re: Flashlight: Taskforce 3W LED.

I've had the Fenix L2D for almost a year now... it's been awesome. It uses two AA batteries, brightness levels/flashing modes regulated by a digital processor, and a CREE bulb, all in a very compact, lightweight, and well made package.

Here's a thorough review:

Re: Flashlight: Taskforce 3W LED.

I've been using SureFire flashlights for years now, and I've been very happy with the performance of their products. However, I'm currently saving up for one of these babys.... Current Products

They aren't inexpensive, but then again, they are hand made titanium and have a 10 year LED bulb that pumps out over 240 Lumens! Sweet.
