Went to Lowes today to pick up a grease gun so I can lube the zerks on my AllPro suspension. It was shrieking like a banshee. I got distracted and bought a bunch of stuff. One item was Task Force 3W LED flashlight. What's so special about it you say? First of all, it uses CREE LED which is a highly regarded LED. It's better then Luxeon LEDs. At $29, it came with a carrying pouch and 2 C Duracells. A good deal for sure. Flashlight is pretty well made. Lowes carries 2 models of this light. One model uses the Luxeon and the other uses CREE LEDs. Make sure the cover says 60X Brighter and XLamp LED technology. I got to play with it tonight and it throws a BEAM! Do a search on the web. It's been rated at 150 lumens by others. It has distance for sure. It however won't be very good if you're looking for diffused or wide pattern light. This is a light saber. It carries a lifetime warranty from Lowes. If you don't like it or if it fails, Lowes will take it back no questions asked.
I don't have any beamshots at the moment. I'll post again when I get them.
This is a keeper.

I bought one of these and the light is good. Just make sure you don't drop it on its end or get the end dirty. The switch has issues, but for ~$20, who cares.
