ARB Bumper Now Readily Available?

I just saw a silver Jeep Unlimited Rubicon outside in silver...the thing was beautiful! Lifted a bit, some wheels that I'm not familiar with that had bolts running all along the outer edge (real, not fake), and...what really made it...was the ARB w/ a winch pulled off to the side (the hook). Now I need an ARB bumper. Lol. Plus...I freaking scratched mine just a bit when I was pulling off my license plate frame

Anyway, I found this link.....sound legit?

Now that we've been talking a LOT about bumpers, I've noticed those lights built into the ARB bumper in the pictures, and on the actual FJ I shot photos of at Toyota HQ in the Atrium.

Will those lights be on the Production bumper and if so, what are they?

Re: ARB Bumper Now Readily Available?

If you haven't figured out yet, there is tremendous pressure by the high priced ARB/OME dealers to price gouge anything related to the FJC. The politics involved are unreal.

When we were recently 'encouraged' to raise prices on FJC parts & accessories due to complaints from a high priced dealer, we opted to not post pricing rather than post retail or close to retail.

The ARB/OME vendors that are well-known for wholesale pricing are probably going to do the same for FJC customers. Unfortunately it forces you, the customer, to contact vendors directly instead of being able to simply surf around and look at posted prices.

Just like the FJC itself, as the hub-bub subsides, things should get easier for the consumer.

Thanks for the inside tip! It's that whole supply-side economics thing that jacks prices up when a commodity like the FJ is HOT!

Re: ARB Bumper Now Readily Available?

Yeah, theoretically speaking, paying a higher price for a demand item fits in the economic equation. Unfortunately, for those of us with a long-term vision and a commitment to attract and retain customers, succumbing to the 'instant gratification' of price gouging in a short market always fails when commodities (especially non-essentials like vehicles, parts, etc.) return to normal pricing levels. Tehn, the customers who got gouged realize it and will choose to do business elsewhere.

I believe our customer-based philosophy is a better business model.

Re: ARB Bumper Now Readily Available?

I like the idea of a portable winch cradle like Warn was/is making for some trucks, the 2" square receiver cradle. Theres a corresponding hitch and some quick disconnect electrical plug in mounted up front and on the back you use a standard receiver.
You can use the winch front or rear and take the fat pig off when you dont need it. Reduces winch theft some too.
I have this on my '85 Suburban.
The QD electrical plugs are nice for using as a jumper cable outlet also.
I'm thinking the stock rear trailer mount on the FJ may be too anemic for this w/o some mods or add ons. im not sure what category it is---think it would have to be a cat5.
