!HELP! FJammer won't cycle/go to AUX mode

My '08 FJ was two weeks old yesterday, and I just took it in for them to install the upgraded gulf port toyota alarm system, and now my stereo won't go into AUX mode after working fine for the first two weeks.
I searched the forum, but I only saw where the AUX input may cut in and out, but my stereo won't even go to this mode! The button on the faceplate itself doesn't put it in AUX and I tried cycling through AM/FM 1/FM2/etc with the mode button on the steering wheel and this didn't work either...

I am getting more and more impatient with dealerships and their service... I just came from an '07 IS350 that was in and out of the shop for a total of 2 months in the year I had it with dealer induced, and random, issues, so I would much rather fix this problem myself as it seems every time I take a car in they fix what I want them to (or maybe not, because the alarm doesn't even function as indicated!) they mess something else up................

Re: !HELP! FJammer won't cycle/go to AUX mode

It just might be that the head unit needs to be reset. Just unplug one of the battery post cable for like 5 min. This might fix your issue. I work with stereo equipment and tell people to unplug or remove power from devices that seem to be out of wack or not working right. You'll be suprised with the amount of people who think I am the audio guru when there equipment starts working the way it was inteded. A electrical devices have Microprocessors in them that for one reason or another become locked up and by removing power from the effected device it alows the power to disapate and the computers and microprocessors will reset themself. Hope this helps.

Will it go into CD mode? If so, just hold the CD button down and that should put it in Aux mode? Not sure if you tried that or not??

Re: !HELP! FJammer won't cycle/go to AUX mode

Oh yeah, dude. It has the same interface as my IS did...
Disconnected battery for 10min, it reset everything and still doesn't go into AUX.
It will, however, go into DISC mode and play a cd (as it did before I disconnected the battery) but still won't go into AUX and play my iPod.

Ohwell, back to the dealer who forgot to put on my plates when it was there on Friday...

Also, the alarm system definitely doesn't work as described, it didn't make a sound when I reconnected the battery after it states in the instructions, it will sound upon reconnection if the battery is disconnected.

Whelp, just like my IS, love the vehicle, and have a strong distaste for the dealership working on it...
