Re: Fj Cruiser Convertible

I like the convertible a hell of a lot. Id definitely like to have one of those. My only concern would be theft. People already think the FJ is mucho expensive. So, the top would make it that much easier for them to check it out. Removable hard top would be a nice option.

Id be willing to risk it though. Count me in on a convertible.

Looks great, but I can't say until I see it with the top down/off...

Talking Re: Fj Cruiser Convertible

I like it but I wonder if it has some really beefy roll bars or what on the inside. I don't know how practical that would be for you off road guys if you know what I mean. I would also like to see it with the top down too to get the real deal. I have a '91 Miata that I almost never put the top up on because it is just a cruiser. They look their best topless...... I know the guys here are going to be agreeing with that statement. My hubby would.....

If you look closely in these pictures, you can see bits of the all white TRD edition FJ

Re: Fj Cruiser Convertible

It looks like a softtop off a Wrangler, modified to fit the FJ. Look at the rear window... same horrible design, where you can't open it w/o unzipping... and then the zipper gets stucks, window fades, gets wringled, and cracks in the winter.

Other than that, I like and would buy it over the regular hardtop FJ.
if you read the offical Toyota press release, it says that a hardtop is also being considered.

As if the FJ doesn’t already have enough structural weaknesses!

Dude hurry up and trade it in on your jeep. I'm tired or hearing about what you think of the FJ.

Re: Fj Cruiser Convertible

This is a personal thing. Honestly, I don't care for it. What throws it off for me are the pillars surrounding the back side windows. I think maybe if they could make an FJwith a cut out of the whole top ... that would be something of interest. It just would make it difficult for structural integrity.
