Off-road package?

I am looking to get an FJ in a couple of weeks. Any opinion on the off-road package? It seems they are engineered as off-road. Aside from the 16 inch wheels, is there that much reason?? (Sorry about the typo!)

Re: Off-road package?

base models may be missing 4wd, atrac, rear locker, and other great wheelin options....things to consider not paying for up front are oem add ons like rails, steps, bling plate, alloys, stereo, roof rack. Better aftermarket options are out there.

this aggression will not stand, man.

Re: Off-road package?

I get the atrac etc... but if you go with a upgrade package 1 0r 2 you get the rear diff lock and the atrac. Really I guess I am looking for an opinion on the All terrain package. shockers, precleaner etc... Does the read lock and atrac not work together otherwise? You've guessed it I am being cheap but a few buck is a few bucks if there isn't a hugh difference.

Re: Off-road package?

I like the combination of items in the package for the $$, but I hate the tires.

I'm sure the ATRAC and Diff Lock will work together, as long as you acquire the switch to use it.

Re: Off-road package?

I got mine with just the CQ Convenience package and also DL Differential Lock and the GY Curtain Shield Airbags (Front Row and 2nd Row) with Front Seat side Bolster Airbags

The locker was $340 and the Airbags were $650

With the locker already there all I did was buy the ATRAC switch from TRD Source.com and put it in, poof I have ATRAC

I did not want any of the other add ons because I plan to swap all of that stuff out anyway.

Welcome to the fold....... prepare to wear out your credit cards
