Re: Vendor Warning: Beadlock Specialties

That totally bites the big one. Whats your next move, court to recoup the cost. It looks like you have documented everything very well which puts you ahead of the game. I can bet you they haven't.

Tony, let me know what I can do to help.

Forum members avoiding them is not enough. If they are calling 3/8 inch 5/8 inch, maybe there are moves that can be made through the NTSB. Let's talk and turkey shoot this problem.

Send lawyers, guns and money. The chit has hit the fan!

I think I will personally call these idiots. Do their other customers just roll over and take this?

Re: Vendor Warning: Beadlock Specialties

I think what is happening is they are selling 1/2inch and claiming they are 5/8th. Most people probably don't measure it. I did because the first rings I got were so far off.

Vendor Alert: Beadlock Specialties in Fresno - Page 3 - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board. Somewhere in the middle of that thread someone from Pirate contacted Beadlock Specialties. It seems Clint (the owner of BS) told him that they would take my wheels back and waive the restocking fee. Clint will ask Tammy to call me (don't know why he couldn't call himself). I have not received a call. Clint promised a call would occur when Tammy returns (apparently she is out) and that was 10am PST. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath. Just when I'm walking away, I'm yanked back. Maybe I'm a fool for wishful thinking.

fwiw, most places make 3/8th rings. I asked for 5/8th because I was attracted to the claim that 5/8th will make bolts sit flush with the ring thus protecting it from rocks.

Re: Vendor Warning: Beadlock Specialties

Thanks for the heads up fjamming - they are full of crap! 1/4" tolerance?
I had to make a waveguide flange (nothing to do with vehicles) using a cold chisel, drill press and assorted files and it had to be with in 5 thousandth of an inch. If I can meet those tolerances with "cave man" tools, then a CNC lathe should be able to.
Give 'em Hell!

That stinks but I would have ended any relation ship at this stage

"Clint Curry called me and told me he can’t sell me the American Racing Chamber Teflons at that price even though that someone in his office took my order and credit card."

I would have said, thanks. Ill go elsewhere. Sounds like a bait and switch.

Good luck.

You know, you're right. I think there's a difference between being nice and being dumb.

Btw, this thing is on going. A mod from Pirate board is working with the vendor to see if I can get the money back. Keeping my fingers crossed.
