ARB rack owners

Do you still love the rack?

I'm really wanting one. Is the extra weight on top of the vehicle anything to worry about? It's another 100 pounds over your head that you're always carrying around (ie - rollovers, etc)

Re: ARB rack owners

Yes, mine came from the dealership with the ARB rack. But from what I understand, ARB was one of the many post factory mod companies that was given access to the FJ before release to develop after market parts.

I love it, because in my area, no one else has one, everyone else has the factory.

Re: ARB rack owners

yes it fits in the factory holes, but you have to buy the rack, then the fj mounting kit. its a really strong rack, and about 600 cheaper than the gobi.

Re: ARB rack owners

I love mine to death and you can fit a HUGE amount of stuff up there. The wind noise is, IMHO, pretty loud. I'd love to have less wind noise. That's the cost of having the convenience though.

You never really notice the weight and I think the true weight of the rack is something more like about 50 lbs. Possibly 60lbs but I can't imagine much more. I put mine on by myself in the dealer's lot.

You'll love it.
