Run in with a trash can.

I was throwing away some christmas trash at a dumpster located on a new home site in my neighborhood. There was a small incline next to the large dumpster so I couldn't resist trying out the 4 wheel drive in muddy conditions. Needless to say as soon as I went up the incline the FJ started to slide. When it was all said and done the fj came to rest parallel and inches away from the large dumpster. There was no way I could move without scratching up the rear passenger side quarter panel. Everytime I tried to move forward the fj rear came closer and closer to the dumpster to the point i heard some rubbing. It was clear the dumpster needed to be moved. So I called my dad and he brought the tundra to the rescue. He was able to move the dumpster about a foot away from the FJ and then he towed me out.

So now i have some scratches and blue paint on my rear end. Surprisingly I wasn't upset as I knew it could have been a lot worse. I do feel a little stupid for not getting help sooner and for getting myself in this predicament in the first place. Lesson learned. I'll have pictures up soon. Thanks for reading and letting me share.

Btw... tundras can haul. Those commercials are for reals. i'm impressed.

Re: Run in with a trash can.

That sucks that you got jacked up by the dumpster but at least now you don't have to worry about tree rash out on the trails on that side.
