WTF!!....FJ was towed away!

...so it was my fault. I'm visiting my mother last night and didn't see the "no parking" sign and this morning my truck is towed away. Still trying to contact the daym towing company.

I have a MT full time 4WD, so my question is:
What if those bastards didn't use a flatbed and they effed up my tranny?!?!?!

Re: WTF!!....FJ was towed away!

Getting towed is the worst. And you can almost bet that it was not put on a roll-back (AKA flatbed). most towing companies are rotten to the core and they will disavow any damages. I do not get the impression that they are conscientious about maintaining the FJ in a pristine state. Hope it works out for you.

Re: WTF!!....FJ was towed away!

When you pick up the FJ have it flatbedded from the 'pound' directly to your dealership and let them evaluate if there is any damage. This way if they won't cover the repairs under warranty you could go after the towing company for payment. Also, document whether the towing company has flatbeds or not to further bolster any case you may have.

Realize one thing, the 'towing company' may be indemnified by the city/county/state against such towing incidents while in its employ.

Good luck!
