Real Trouble Here!!

I sure hope some of you gurus are up this early on New Years Eve day but I have a real problem that I hope you guys can give me some advice on.

Just got in my truck to go to the office for a few hours and the ABS light, the VSC Off light and the little slip indicator with the four wheels and the lower drive is on. Tried to drive it around the block and it is jerking and the rear wheels actually sounded like they were squealing when I turned the corner at about 3 mph. Also, the brakes are really squealing now!

Can I try to limp this thing to the dealership or should I call to have it towed?

HELP!!!!

Kim

Re: Real Trouble Here!!

I wouldn't advise you drive it, it may do alot more damage if you do. It sounds like it is currently an electrical/computer problem but if you drive it could become a serious mechanical one. Good luck

Sorry to hear about the troubles, did YOU wash it or did you take to a car wash and someone else did it?

Re: Real Trouble Here!!

Kim,

Check your switches in the switch bank below the stereo. Did you accidentally hit one of them? The locker switch comes to mind as turning on the lights on the dash. Maybe the VSC switch. Give that a try...keep us posted but definitely DON'T DRIVE IT LIKE THAT!!!

Re: Real Trouble Here!!

Have you tried Ctrl-Alt-Delete?, err... disconnect the neg. terminal on the battery for 5-10 minutes, then reconnect to reboot the computer? Might be worth a try, at least til you can get it in for a full check.
