Well, I did it..... How did I do??

Just got home with my brand new FJ. 2007 Black Cherry. Figured I could get a deal on an '07 so I started looking around on different dealership websites. There are still a few '07's out there, but I wanted a Black Cherry. I only found 1 and it was 2 hours away. It had more equipment on it than my wallet wanted to spend, but over all I think I got a pretty good deal (not great...but acceptable). They gave me $400 over trade in book price (KBB) for my trade(2006 Maxima).......and gave me $400 under invoice on the FJ.

I wanted $1,000 under invoice but they said that was all they could do. I called their bluff, shook the dealers hand, got in my car, and drove off. I figured my cell phone would ring any second......but nothing. After about 10 miles down the road, I turned around and went back (I know, I know).

I drove a long way to get there and didn't want to go home without it. My wife said that the deal wasn't so bad and said if I wanted it to just turn around, go back and get it. I tried to budge them again, but they definately weren't going to give in now since I came back. I thought since it was the end of the month and the end of the YEAR that I might get some super-crazy deal, but I think I did ok?

Anyway it's loaded up pretty good. Upgrade Package(no sub-woofer), Convenience Package, Roof Rack, Step Bars, Air Bag Package, Passenger armrest, Tow hitch, Wheel locks, Spare tire cover, Carpeted floor mats(I dont like), a Toyota hat....hahaha

Well, I love the truck even though I have only had it for a couple hours. Would take a pic but it's dark, and besides, you guys/gals know what they look like, haha. Love the Black Cherry color though.

Sorry for the long post but, you know,.... I'm excited.....so give me a break.

Do you think I got a good deal??

Happy New Year!

You got the black cherry you wanted, that's a good deal. Brings back memories of when I picked up my black cherry at night a year and a half ago. The first time I saw a black cherry with my naked eye was the next morning when I got up and looked out the window. Congratulations and welcome to the ..........group? crowd? bunch? party? ..........who am I kidding? This is the craziest, goofiest, pack of liers I've ever had the pleasure of belonging to. Welcome, just...welcome, glad your here.

Wait till your waiting for the parts to show up that you have ordered and your wanting to put them on. Time slows to a crawl.

If you are referring to modding my FJ..... I love it just the way it is, and don't plan on modding it at all...........................NOTTTT!!!!

Lift and 33's will happen SOON!!!

By the way, I just made a quick run to the store and noticed something weird about my FJ. 3 WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES???!!!!

I honestly had NO IDEA......wow.
