Hummers make minivans

So heres the story. I go through the drive through of my local mcdonalds late one night with my gf. As i pull up to pick up my food a employee sticks his head out of the window and looks at my black FJ. I smile thinking hes admiring my truck and then he turns to me and says "I didnt know Hummers made minivans" Well you can imagine i just about lost my cool.
1) its not a minivan
2) its sure as **** not a hummer.
The next couple of minutes i spent arguing with this guy that my FJ is not a hummer and than hummers suck even more than jeeps.
Im thinking Toyota needs to advertise a little more so i dont end up choking people in drive thrus....

Re: Hummers make minivans

sorry to hear that....my nephew still calls the FJ a mini hummer till this day.

regarding advertising, my cousin who is in advertising went to a seminar with a toyota rep speaking. they discussed how they did not market the FJ in a traditional sense. We all know there are no glorified commercials for our rigs. they mentioned how they use the TRAIL TEAMS to out to there and represent the vehicle.

I wish I could see an FJC commercial once in a while. Other 4x4 car companies have a lot of fun with that.

Re: Hummers make minivans

I saw a billboard near my house one time that had an FJ on it.
I have never seen a commercial though. I wonder if the sales numbers would have increased if they made 1 FJ ad per 10 of the tundra ads

Re: Hummers make minivans

Clue # 1. They were working in a fast food drive through.
This means they are eligible to apply for the new Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA).

Re: Hummers make minivans

the worst part of this is not calling the FJ a Hummer. It's calling it a minivan!!!!!
