I do taxes. That's all I got. But to answer a few recent inquiries.......

a) No, you cannot get a social security number for the FJ

b) The FJ cannot be claimed as a dependant no matter how much you've contributed to it's support

c) A new bumper and lights are not considered "dental work"

d) Mods are more like plastic surgery (ie..a lift), not medical....so that's a no go also

e) Your Ouray expenses are only deductible if you're a vendor

My best professional advice..........buy stock in any company that sells cans of black spray paint.

Oh, and Jer..........if anymore stupid people show up in my office, they may be needing your services when I'm done with them.
Uh oh, Tina. Time for me to file an amended return.

Manufacturing, mechanical, design engineer. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc. In my previous life (pre-degree days), I was a SAAB, Volvo, and Mercedes Benz master tech (80's and early 90's). I am quite handy with a wrench and I also know my way around a machine / fab./ welding shop.

Steve:

Orienteering, maps/charts, land/water navigation are the things I seem to be good at (it was part of my job description for 21 years). Master Diver and general fitness questions I can handle. of course...if anyone has a rugby question fire away! Oh....and beer drinking instructor.

Cheers!

Re: Resident gurus - please sign in!!

Someone actually PM'd me to use my resident guru metallurgist knowledge and weigh in on a post!
After all that I have learned and all the good ideas from countless people on this form, I am so very happy I can give back to the group! It's the least I can do.
