Exclamation How to minimize your blind spot.

Here are a hand full of sites that all describe the proper use of your side view mirrors to minimize your blind spot. Basically, you need to adjust them OUT much farther than most of you are use to. However, if you use this simple (and obvious) technique you will be able to drive large trucks (like the FJ) with much more confidence and safety.

Re: How to minimize your blind spot.

Finally!! Yes, most people's mirrors are adjusted in-correct. My Dad taught me to use mirrors from day one, and my years driving BIG truck taught me 100% reliance on my mirrors. I can't back up anymore looking over my shoulder.
Convex mirrors GREATLY aid in the whole blind spot elimination game, along with properly adjusted mirrors... almost perfect! I have no real problems.
I also need to add that the FJ is not a large truck. It is pretty small actually, unless you came from a Civic or a Smart car or something...
