FJ at altitude

Had the FJ up to just over 14,000 feet today on Mt. Evans...

Made a friend in the process. Mountain goats just love the FJ.

What's the highest you've had yours?

Re: FJ at altitude

Is that 1st pic of a goat in these fourms?

Im in so cal not much here over 5000 feet. I was on the cajon pass, its Alt. 3820. Its a steep grade alot of cars break down and trucks loose brakes on it, FJ zipped right over , even with the big mudders.

FJR - With as much snow as you guys had this past winter, I'm surprised the road from Echo Lake was open this early. Great post.

Awesome Pics Keep sending them.
Makes me miss the mountains in CO. Lived there so long ago that used to ride the horses to the grocery store in Boulder. Wish gas wasn't so expensive or would take a trip there this summer and get out of this 113 degree heat.

Re: FJ at altitude

KS Law Dog,

Yeah it was clear to the summit. Not so on Georgia Pass where I got stuck bad on Saturday. Thank goodness I had gloves in the car and A-TRAC. But I've learned not to be too ballsy on stock tires and to always carry a shovel.

BTW, where is McPherson, KS?

I spend a lot of time in the great state of KS on business. And yes, I do usually cruise in the FJ.

Re: FJ at altitude

Mr. Blue Cayouse,

Thanks! Yeah, nothing like looking down on mere 13,500 foot snow-capped peaks, huh?
