sticking compass on new fj

are the compass meters on the fj a little slow or did I get a compass that is not right

They're very... shifty. I almost bought a cheapo globe compass the other day, but I figured that was a bit silly.

I'de swear mine only moves in 45 degree increments. Oh well, GPS going in soon, compass will be obsolete.

In the manual it states the the compass updated every few seconds, it looks like it sticks but it is supose to do that.

Yep. Same with mine. Real basic, but it works. GPS is the way to go.

You are correct, it only tells N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, and NW. Pretty basic but still helps some for generalized direction...on a cloudy day...or dark night!

well I cant say I am glad that mine is the same I was hoping I got a bad one. that is a horrible compass. What is a good gps to look at I have a garmin 680 nav unit can you use it as a gps?
