Found a bunch of Manual 4X4's in Raleigh NC

Leith Toyota has a bunch of them on the lot. I went in and ended up ordering a new FJ - basically putting down a deposit, specifying a max MSRP, and indicating specs. I wanted a 4X4 auto, but primarily I did not want to pay the B.S. $699 Toyoguard fee to the bloodsuckers at Toyota. They claim they can get it for me.

In any case, there are at least 6 manual 4X4s on the lot. They are all at MSRP, although one has fancy rims in place of the steel wheels as a port option. I was told they won't reduce the price, but will give you better deals on your trade to get rid of these -- they have too many manuals, and the lower mileage of the full-time 4 wheel drive scares people a bit.

The salesman I dealt with was Scott Hairr -- I would recommend him

No one, except a few die-hards, want the MT because of the full time 4WD and the gas mileage decrease.

Re: Found a bunch of Manual 4X4's in Raleigh NC

I just bought an FJ from Leith, picked it up today.

I didn't want the ones they had on the lot, wanted an AT Black Diamond, so they swapped one for me from another dealer, as well as taking off the options I didn't want and adding the roof rack. Took exactly a week and they didn't cash my deposit until the FJ actually came in.

I would highly recommend them.

Kat - I am dealing with the same salesperson I think - they are doing the same for me.

Much better treatment than every other Toyota dealership in the triangle by far

Me a diehard? Not sure I've ever been called that. Put a smile on my face though. Thanks Tony5150RN!

Count me in as a MT driving diehard, also getting avg. 19.8 mpg.

Re: Found a bunch of Manual 4X4's in Raleigh NC

I dealt with a different salesperson but they were equally awesome. He did the swap deal while I was still there, then called me to confirm that the deal went through, when the car hit port, and when it was wholesaled. I paid MSRP of course, but since he took off all the options that I didn't want it was $2500 cheaper than the other dealer that would swap for me.

I got the convenience package, the upgrade package, and the roof rack. No toyoguard, no other bs options that I can get on ebay for cheaper.

You're gonna give me a big head, but with this ear to ear grin I guess that's okay.
