IFS is better at snow, mud, and hill climbing anyway
Huh? What? Are you on drugs??

Stig, you remind me of some Land Rover owners who think that their rig is the baddest rig off-road simply from looking at the LR advertisements! Very little experience, just blabbering on and on based on what they hear.

The new Jeeps are IFS too arent they?? technically the FJ is a jeep, in model only, not brand of course, hence the J in FJ
JK Wranglers are the only Jeep currently with solid axles front and rear.

No no no. Don't get too full of yourself. Drop the grudge from that H3 argument. I may have not done too much rock crawling, but I've done loads of wheeling snow, and loads of hill climbs.
Have you ever wheeled in snow?
Is the FJ the first IFS rig you've owned?

I'm sure about IFS being better in deep snow, at least when being towed. then maybe mud, and fast hill climbing.
This is when IFS won over SFA last trip.

The snow was so deep that I got hung up as well, but a small tug got me out. We had to winch this guy for half an hour because I couldn't pull him out, couldn't get enough speed on the hill to yank him. The front axle was lower than the surface of the snow so it was acting like a snow plow.

Theres a taco behind me if you look closely, I managed to pull him out pretty easily.

Re: converted.....

Christ I didn't mean to start another FJ vs. Wrangler debate.

Why must their be such animosity between the two? Both are great vehicles. I'd be more than happy to own a FJ or a Wrangler.

Re: converted.....

Hey Dontfollowmeb where did I say the FJ is better than the rubi? can you quote me on it?
Do you think maybe I was just pointing out a possible advantage to IFS? or just having another go at s......g on other rigs?

If I had a pic of a time when I was being pulled out backwards so my rear axle was digging into the snow I would have posted that one! I Promise.
The Chains almost make up for the fact that I didn't have mud tires, a lift, and wasn't aired down(didn't have a compressor).

So do I really have to write a disclaimer before posting so people like you won't be ***** and judge me on just that post? It's nice that you picked out videos of FJs getting stuck, they clearly show that can happen. Did you think I thought it was impossible?
I hadn't seen that second last one, thats a nice hole
