Adding Rear Locker Switch

At some point, if you had a rear locker, you could buy an ATRAC switch and activate the built in ATRAC. Is it possible that on a FJ with "no Rear Locker ", that you could add a Rear Locker switch and activate what is possibly already built into the FJ. Does it make any sense what I'm trying to ask???

It makes sense but is highly improbable. Having ATRAC "hard wired" and "programmed" into the ECU is one thing, while having a rear locker installed but not listed on the invoice would be wasteful on Toyota's part.

Obviously, crawl under the FJ to look for the rear locker, if its there and there is no switch, you may be onto something. But, that would mean you really got away with something for free...

Yup the rear diff housing with a locker is physicly different than one without, you would need to change the whole diff housing if you wanted one.
