20,000 mile ?

I am about to pass the 20G's mark of FJ Cruisen. To this point I have changed my own oil and variuos filters. What are some of the other fluids/filters I should check/change at this point?
I know what it says in the manual but I would rather hear it from the masters.

Thank you in advance

Re: 20,000 mile ?

A lot of people (myself included) change the gear lube in their differentials and transfer case by then, especially if you wheel your rig. Likewise, the air filter and the cabin air filter (behind the glove box) will need replaced sooner than the service schedule if you have been off-road in dusty conditions. Don't forget to grease the u-joints and slip yokes on your driveshafts too.

It's also a good time to go full-synthetic on your fluids if you haven't done so already.

Re: 20,000 mile ?

I agree completely with 1911 and FJDave. Solid advise. I've changed all the fluids (except) the ATF to synthetics and just recently at ~17,500 I changed the air filter because I often drive in dusty conditions and had a new one sitting in the garage. I was surprised how dirty it already was (not terrible but it was doing it's job) and noticed that the engine sounds a little less 'labored' on my normal routes. Must be breathing a little easier. Mine's an '07 but I added the Cyclone Pre-Filter as well in the last few months for the reasons I stated above. I also use synthetic grease on on the lube points.

I agree with everyone above...I usually change diffs and such around 15,000.....fully convert to synthetic...new air filter...cabin filter.
