I put my Window Braker/ Seatbelt Cutter in there along with my Driving glasses, Sun Classes, cell Phone/ Ipod car Chargers and an extra Ipod.

I would like to convert that compartment into something else one day, I don't know what yet but I know it will be something really usefull. Any suggestions?

I'd like to see Tuffy (or anybody) build an FJ "safe" that would take the place of this driver glove box....perhaps with a hidden release cable as the only way to pop the top....or even a hidden electronic release. Decorate the top like it is just an airbag.
