Has anybody seen FJ Plant/Manufacturing photos?

I would love to see some FJ assembly line or factory photos if there are any out there to be seen. The closest I've come to seeing an FJ built to date is by playing with the little "assemble"/"disassemble" applet on the FJ Cruiser website bulletin. (which is pretty darn cool, by the way)

However, I want to see LOTS of pre-dealer markup FJs all lined up in a row at the factory awaiting delivery to their happy new U.S. owners. I want to see boatloads of FJs escaping the clutches of Godzilla and heading out into open waters...

Seeing all those FJs photographed together at the Toyota sponsored trail ride was great- but I want more, dangit!

Have any of you Toyota gurus on the board been given any promotional material or (gasp) a plant tour??

-Mike

Re: Has anybody seen FJ Plant/Manufacturing photos?

A visit to the FJ mothership sounds like a great idea!

Here is some background information on Toyota factory tours:

japan-guide.com/e/e3308.html

Don't know which Toyota factory makes the FJ, I think someone posted the location a few months ago.

If its in the usa it would be nice for a tour or tailgate party with the employees and R&D.

Will this hold you off for a few minutes? This was a group of Nor Cal FJs getting together a couple months back. By the way, I've toured the Taco factory in San Jose and its very cool.

Errr.... Don't know what the thanks are for, but, you bet! Anytime!

Now, SpeedwayBlue posted shots of the first FJs to hit the port in Portland:

Not quite pinup material, but I remember the day when these photos caused many a forum member to make a quick trip to the bathroom...

I was saying thanks because your keyword of "Portland" allowed me to search through the Gallery and find the photos you were referring to.

Hmmmm..... Portland = Port + Land (grin)
