I would bet second year numbers are closer to 60,000 depending on sales. But since they are still impossible to get. I can definitely see Toyota upping the output next year.

In order to produce more than 46,000 per year Toyota will need to add another production line (I think there are two for the FJ now). Discussion back in January/February stated that there isn't room on the current factory floor to add another line without moving one of the other Toyota vehicles to another site. I'm sure that Toyota is closely monitoring demand for our beloved FJ and only time will tell if another line will be added in time for the 2008 model year.
It is fun to speculate, but because the FJ doesn't get 30 mpg and it is a special market target vehicle, I predict that another production line will not be added for 2008.
