Re: Range Rover vs. FJ. FJ WINS!!!! At least Today!

I will admit that until the FJ came out I was debating the purchase of a used Discovery II. They go cheap (for a reason I understand now) are off-road capable and well optioned. The costly repairs and maintenance are the downers. I still think they are cool vehicles though.

The DH would love to get a Range Rover Sport! As an LR mechanic he can afford the maintanence
I totally envy you on that one, Amanda! My DH does not do ANY maintenance. I am the one that turns the wrench at our house.

Re: Range Rover vs. FJ. FJ WINS!!!! At least Today!

As I try to ride my bike to work more this summer, I can say no FJs have even come close to hitting me. One RR did about three years ago. Their engines might have issues, but they do repel cyclists rather well.

Wow lol I'm still laughing at the fact that he offered to buy your CG(great name BTW) off you. I think you just sold an FJ.

Re: Range Rover vs. FJ. FJ WINS!!!! At least Today!

That's an awesome story! I was at my local gas station last night and a guy in a brand new 4 door Rubicon pulled up next to me at the pumps. He walked around my FJ twice and said "Damn I wish I had bought one of these..." Then he looked up at me and said "Nice rig!" and then he walked into the gas station. I love it when people with other off road capable vehicles drool all over my FJ. It reminds me every time why I fell in love with it at the 06 LA Auto Show.
