Question all-wheel-drive trick question

I have an " all-wheel-drive trick question "

Lets say I owned a Toyota FJ Cruiser with a manual transmission and it has all-wheel-drive (instead of a 4-wheel-drive transfer case).
If I have three tires on dry pavement and one tire is on slick ice, and I totally disable all computer traction related functions, and I put this FJ in high gear and floor the gas pedal making the speedometer show 100 miles-per-hour - my question is "How fast in MPH is the spinning tire on ice actually spinning ? "

Hint: Consider how many total differential systems are in the drive train system
Hint: You would not want to be standing anywhere near the spinning tire in this environment

Re: all-wheel-drive trick question

0 miles per hour, you probably just grenaded your diff or axle shaft.

Seriously though, 100mph?

Re: all-wheel-drive trick question

Well you have an unlocked center differential, so yeah that wheel would be spinning at 100 mph right?

What is the speedometer reading? Wheel speed sensors near the wheel hubs?

Re: all-wheel-drive trick question

Well, here's how it really works.
The FJ launches like a mofo, Why?

1) The 6MT has a Torsen T3 centre LSD, so it'll lock and you won't be stuck
2) To call the 6MT an AWD isn't really accurate. Not even a little bit. It is FT 4WD with locking centre diff and hi/lo xfer case. It's like the 5AT, but for men.

That would assume the 6MT has an open centre diff, which it doesn't.

I think it does doesn't it? He never said he hypothetically put it in 4Hi or 4Lo. So it's AWD with the center unlocked.

Re: all-wheel-drive trick question

At least that's how my brother's '05 4runner works. It's "AWD" but he has a button on the dash that locks the center diff (4hi). Then a switch for 4Lo. Is the MT FJC not the same?
