Door Sill Plates

From what I have been told the OEM sill plates will not be available until November, if then. Was curious if anyone has purchased the billet FJ sill plates like the ones on E*** auction site. They look fairly nice but am more concerned about fit and if any interference with the door closing. Thanks

Re: Door Sill Plates

I bought my FJ about a week ago. It came with the sill plates. I like the styling. I haven't looked at the ones on the website you are talking about, but I would think you could get them from your dealer since FJs are now being sold with them.

Re: Door Sill Plates

Does anyone have a picture of the factory original sill plates? My dealer says that generally all the options are not available with a few minor exceptions, this not being one of them. Thanks

Hmmm, if you are referring to the black tape, yes. If you read the install sheet for the OEM door sills, one of the steps is to remove the existing tape.

at first I thought they looked kind of bling-ish, but now I think they might not be so bad....any pics would be awesome if you put them in!
