Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

This is possibly the hardest decision I have ever had to make. I cannot decide if I want Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic. Asthetically, I obviously like both but I have to say I lean towards Black. Everything else says go Titanium. (Everything else being hot in the summer, dirt and scratches show up easier). I plan on driving my FJ until it says "no more!", so its turned into a long-run, short-run, question. Im looking for a little insight and advice on the matter...

Get VooDoo blue! Personally if choosing between black and titanium I would go with titanium it'll be much easier to clean.

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

I have black and it looks good, even dirty....shouldn't an FJ be dirty anyhow? I mean, who wants a nice cleaned and shined FJ all the time, might as well by a Hummer (BTW, they are doing 0% financing, what does that tell you). I wanted the Titanium at first, but have grown to love the Black Diamond. Heat with the white roof isn't really an issue, it stays pretty cool and I think all the black plastic ties in better on the Black. Black just looks more expensive and besides, Black is badass!

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

I think my Titanium is a great combination of classic good looks and a very durable color that doesn't look old after awhile from scratches etc. I say Titanium

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

Titanium Does not show scratches as much or even any where near what the BlackDiamond does... Plus the black will show the paint swirl thingys' when looking up close too... I would never but black for myself (disclaimer: the black one i drive now was my wifes, but she wanted the Sunfusion when she saw that one, so I ended up with the BlackDiamond by default)

If you lean towards black, get black. I've found the heat issue is minimal, probably because of the white roof and steep windshield angle.

Get what you want and don't worry about it.

I frankly doubt statement #1 BUT statement #2 answered your question for you.
Titanium.

I have owned MANY black vehicles and am very good at keeping them at their best - If you want a second full-time job - get the black.

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

Titaniums seem to be more rare ... I have only seen 1 on the road driving. I counted 9 blacks on the drive to Indy - 1 yellow. Have seen a few more yellows since then. One blue yesterday.

I'd go with the TM. I did.

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

for me, silver really brings home the heritage. It totally reminds me of an old silver FJ60...

Re: Black Diamond or Titanium Metallic?

You post sounds like your brain and heart are battling for this decision. Of course, I worked all night, so I could be way off. For practicality go Titanium, but for no regrets go Black Diamond. On the other hand, I went yella
