Just traded for the FJ today

Well guys, I finally did it today. I traded in mine and my dad's 03 Boxster for an FJ. I got the convienence package and the other package with the powered subwoofer and Atrac. Silver 4x4 ( seriously, why make a 2wd?) with an auto only because it gets better gas mileage, roof rack, hitch, rubber mats, and passenger arm rest.

Part of the reason that I went ahead and did it was through the input and reasearch that I had done on this site over the past few days. The dealer was awsome to work with, Modern Toyota in Winston Salem, NC.

Ive had 3 SUV's prior, a jeep grand cherkoee, a jeep landrunner which had a warn M8000, 33 MTR's, rock rails ect, a Land rover Discovery XD again with some lift, rock rails, MTR's, and all 3 had roof racks. I am really excited to get this thing, (I think that it will be next friday) and put a few thousand miles on it on the road at first. Down the road im looking to get an ARB and MTR's, however Im always up for opinions.

I hope everybody enjoied their experience as much as i did and still look foward to driving their FJ's as I do in about a week and a half.

Lastly, what is this stuff about a 1:18'th scale model, my dealer knew nothing about it

Best to everyone,

Zane McKinney

Re: Just traded for the FJ today

Congrats!!!
I bought the 2WD for a few reasons:
It's for my wife and she will NEVER take it off road. It was also the only one they had on the lot and we were ready for it. Did not want to wait any longer. Being impulsive is probably not the best way to be when buying a vehicle, but I am very happy with our purchase. Oh yeah, so is the wife.
