FJ Cruiser being discontinued????

According to the TRD guy I spoke with at SEMA last week, the Fj is one and done.

I just saw the 2010 model launch/production schedule last week, my Toyota regional dealer rep had it. The FJ was on it.

I even suggested that it may be built at the new Hino plant in WV in subsequent years and he had never even heard of the plant in WV.

That should tell you which one, and not, it is not the Land Cruiser.

so you are saying they are gonna ditch the 4runner and make a 4 door fj? Isnt that basically what the fj is anyways? Why would they drop there best selling suv? sems like it would be the sequoia if anything

They're gonna skip a model year on Sequoia, and go straight to the 2010s early next year.

And with gas probably close to half as much as it was, that will have some ramifications.

I rented a Highlander last week and though the looks are heinous, it had a surprising ton of space inside and was a good drive.

Corey thinks it will be more offroad-focused. Yeah I think Toyota was caught by surprise to see how hard the FJ ended up being wheeled. Going through three rear ends kind of tipped me off to that.
