Re: 150 FORUM BADGE ORDERS SHIPPED-180 Badges

Got mine today. It's a nice badge and I'm glad I got one.

I will say I'm a bit disappointed in the quality, as mine has some minor pitting in the chrome and also a small bubble in the chrome. The quality (of mine) isn't as good as the TT badge. If I was running quality control, I would have rejected this one.

But, hey, it was only $30.

Sorry for the imperfections. I really don't have time to inspect everyones badge before it goes out. I guess in an order this large some things are going to get by QC. If it's that bad send it back. Are you going to put it on your grill? If you are the pits will blend in with the rock chips in the future! Just kidding and trying to make light of the situation.

Don't sweat it Pete, I wasn't blaming you. For what the badge cost, I can live with it.

But the next time you place an order with this company, you might mention the lack of QC. I also heard that some of the badges were delivered un-threaded.

I'm aware of one that was unthreaded and some others that posted that the mounting posts fit loosely. I can validate the loose mounting post but some Red Loctite will solve that problem quickly.

Going to replace the studs with SS. They appear to be metric M4. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks I got it.

I'm going to have to bring it into Lowes and find a way to mount it. There aren't any threads for these posts.

I think your right...the nuts that came with mine were metric 4-70's.

Only issue I had was the posts, one of my posts was threaded with a lip on one end so I could not get the nut to purchase. No problem though, I just worked it as far as I could from the other side. A little pitting isn't an issue with me, probably just gonna look like a gear after a couple years anyways. Let's face it folks, we don't really have the worlds most aerodynamic cars so don't expect to be perfect if your gonna mount it to the outside of your rig.

Re: 150 FORUM BADGE ORDERS SHIPPED-180 Badges

Well yesterday as I was on my way to the airport to reunite with my FJ, I got word that a package was recieved. I wasn't about to drive an hour back to retrieve it so I'll just have to wait a few months to put it on.

Thank for all the trouble. Big kudos for getting the badges.

Cheers
