Insults to your FJ

Oh, I forgot the biggest insult. My wife is into this Twilight vampire books/movie thing and when I got my FJ it happened to be when the first movie came out. She said that the guy in the movie had an FJ just like mine.

So I went to see this movie on her fourth round of seeing it! I think she went about 7 times before the DVD was released. It wasn't too bad. It had a few gory scenes in it but mostly a chick flick love story so my limit was reached at 1 time. It finally gets to the part where they're playing baseball and the wife points it out to me. It's a silver JEEP WRANGLER! It looked like a modified Rubicon to me.

She felt a little embarrassed when I told her it was a Jeep. She's not into cars as you can see.

Now when she sees me modifying my FJ, I tell her it's so I can make it look like the Jeep in the movie.

No me being from the UK and really growing up believing the Land rover to be king of off road travel felt confused at first, then happy, then downright insulted. How can you even think its a lany. They are two completely different things. Bloody Neanderthal.

I am still looking and trying to convince the wife to trade our 4Runner in on an FJ. But anyway, for the next "it looks like a Hummer" insult, try this one out and let us know how it works.

My lawyer friend said "cool FJ." I then asked him what he thought about the Voodoo Blue color. He said "its really awesome, especially if you are planning on going completely gay."

Then I punched him in the face. Just kidding, I didn't punch him, I told him to F Off.

there has been bunch incidents that insulted my FJ and killed me a little inside. lol

some one once asked me what kinda ride i have and when i told her that i have an FJ, she thought it was the PT cruiser. but later when she saw my ride she liked it a lot and wanted to take it for a spin. i didn't let her ofcourse.
Then one time when i told one of my professors that i have an FJ he asked me if that was a smaller version of hummer. i told him that it was an offroading version of a hummer ( i said hummer so that that ignorant b!tch would understand something) that is not for mall cruiseing and soccor practice trips.

A lotta people have called my ride jeep tons of times. But than again i m not a hater of jeeps. i think jeeps are cool, but are not for fast offroading. i still hate when people call my ride a jeep though. but they use it as if my ride is for offroading kinda contest, if you know what i mean.



BTW I m a new member to fj cruiser forums.
i will introduce me and mainly my FJ cruiser after i get some mods done.

off topic, but this is on my mind. Last night I was at a Ford dealer and the sales guy was talking to me about the Raptor SVT, etc... and he goes off topic and asks me why I bought a "Jap" truck? How I should be supporting the American auto market, blah blah blah.

Ok, this is the second time in a week or so someone said this. In all the years of owning my FJ no one has EVER referred to my FJ like that. I find this sorta insulting personally. Yeah most of the insults listed here are funny and can be taken tounge in cheek but I don't know... when someone refers to my FJ as a "Jap" truck and then says I should be supporting American auto builders, it doesn't sit well.

Has anyone ever got this before? What's up with this attitude?
