Re: Insults to your FJ

Once my buddy's girlfriend called it cute he wont let it go now.
My exgirlfriends mom said, "don't they make a bigger one" While her husband said, "that thing would only dream of going where our Jeep does." keep in mind a stock grand cherokee with road tires. Then I realized I should not have been where I was.

What I like about the FJ is that kids love it. I saw a family getting out of a blingged out shiny white H2 parked in front of me, as they were walking away their boy, about 3, kept staring, smiling, and pointing at my blue FJ as his loving parents dragged him on not even hearing what he was saying. I loved the old ones when I was a kid.

Re: Insults to your FJ

Left the car with the valet at a hotel in Philly a couple of weeks ago - on the way home I noticed they'd left the tag in the car. Under model it read "H3."

Although the valet must not been much of a car guy - they had the manufacturer down as Ford......

Re: Insults to your FJ

this past weekend a group of girls asked me about my FJ. I was happy to talk to them but they kept calling my FJ CUTE.

"That's a CUTE SUV"
"That's such a girly soccer mom SUV"

if they weren't so cute I'd slap em! i think they were messin with me, hahahaha

Re: Insults to your FJ

I made the mistake of parking my stock TT next to Larry "Dirty Parts" Bernstein's radically modded SF when we were going to sushi. My friend and his family were nearby and his wife said "It looks so petite". It's also funny because Larry is 6-8 and I'm 5-8.

After a year of mods, she said it looked like a Tonka truck and I think she meant it in a good way. Her husband, my good friend, calls it the Beast and says it puts his H2 SUT to shame (his truck is very nice and well modded). His oldest son, a big FJ fan, says it's the nicest one he's ever seen.

On some of the other previous posts:

"What kind of gas mileage does it get?" I answer yes or MPG or better than my 07 Tahoe.

"Why didn't you buy American?" I did...6 times in a row. After all the problems, I wanted reliability and a manufacturer that wasn't going broke so I went back to Toyota.

"It's cute." As I get older, I'll take cute or anything else that sounds remotely like a compliment (other than "you've got a good personality).

Re: Insults to your FJ

I have been told my truck looks like a batting helmet used in baseball, and the tonka truck thing but most people really like it.

My family lovingly calls it "The blue thing"
