Question Car Buying Service

Anyone going to use car buying service offered by Costco,Sam's Club,AAA,credit unions etc? I think sometimes when you use a service from previously mentioned, possibly not get jerked around as much as dealing directly with the Dealer. But then again purchasing something like a FJC is not standard operating procedure.

Re: Car Buying Service

We already covered this: Costco is explicitly excluding the FJ Cruiser from the program. And as best we can tell, the AAA deal = MSRP. No one's heard better.

Re: Car Buying Service

It's like trying to get a discount on the hot new Porsche Cayman sports car. It's not going to happen. Once the "newness" wears off in a year or so with the FJ, maybe.

Probably won't get a discount through ,say a Costco service, but the dealer is held accountable, the dealer might like to sell some of the slow selling vehicles in the future through the buying service. The dealer is held to standards through the service. As an individual, the dealer's only standard is to MAXIMIZE profit any way he can.I know how the market-place works, had a deposit on titanium automatic since November.Speaking of Porsches, been there, done that!

Re: Car Buying Service

haha, it'd kind of be like trying to bargain your way out of paying .79 cents for a Snickers, when that's clearly the MSRP and you can't do much about it. I don't even like Snickers...rather have a Twix. =)
