Question for everyone that put in their color/option preferences..

....is your dealer letting you know today that the color and options you wanted are coming in? I'm a little bummed that my color is not coming in and I am guessing it was poor planning on the dealer's part...I am first on the list!!

My dealers dont have a clue. They don't even pretend.
I have put down $500 and still have no info. They could give a flip.

One dealer told me that his #1 and #2 (this one is mine) did not get included on his first allocation so he called his distributor to do some yelling. He was told that they run 2 allocations a month and that there is one more run before the FJC comes out. She told him that both of these trucks would be included in that run. She assured him that both trucks would be sent in the first delivery.

Needless to say, I am leery. But this is my #2 dealer and if it is meant to be......

As for my #1 dealer. He called me today and told me the allocation came through and he knows he is getting 5. He had not seen the detail yet but committed to calling me on Monday and letting me know. The person I spoke to is the inventory manager for this dealership and one HELL of a nice guy. He will be calling me with a list of trucks, pricing and port installed accessories info on Monday. I'll post what he says here.

My dealer still doesn't know what they're getting (and I would add an if at all). They're GM called today and was doing some inquiries to try to find out - especially when I told them others are already getting specific info.

Frustrating.......

I'm supposed to be number 1 on a dealer list in Virginia. Deposit placed in early December, and allocation request put into the computer...and that's the last information I've gotten from the dealer. I called yesterday after I saw some of the members were getting arrival info...but had to leave a message. The dealer I'm using has been very accommodating but kind of passive in collecting new info. Anyway, you're not alone.

Is it safe to assume that most of the FJCs came through fairly loaded?? Did anyone order one without an upgrade package and get word that it is coming on the initial allotment??

I wonder if what we're starting to see the larger dealers knowing more precisely what they are getting while Toyota is still making determinations of "what's left" for the smaller dealers.

Just odd that some seem to know an Awful lot more than others - afterall, it just can't be that complicated as a dealer's inventory manager/procurement person to followup and get the info assuming it's available.
