How long will we have to wait for the FJ???? This has to be the worsted marketed vehicle that I have ever came across...With less then 2 months before the official release....you can't find any info, there are NO commercials, and very few appearances...(still pissed it wasn't at the Philly Auto show)...Philly is the 5th largest city in the US and no FJ??? I'm on the waiting list of 3 different dealers and have been pref'd the exact truck that I wanted (Voodoo Blue, 6-speed)...and I just received an email from a dealer that INSISTED on selling the FJ at market value a month ago and is now saying that they will NOT sell over MSRP and still have some available for the first run....I'm willing to bet if you get to the dealer in the first week of the release you could prob. drive one right of the lot...
The initial rush is slowly wearing off, and people are realizing that they do not actually want a blue-yellow-purple SUV, these things are going to remain lot-rot.
Imagine if Mini was marketed this way, few colors, standard white roof, zero information, then the Mini would have failed.
Toyota has so many SUV's that the FJ feels like a rush-job, from design to production to marketing to sales.
I used to think people will laugh at the multi-colored FJ, but I was wrong: It is Toyota who will be laughing at the silly Americans.
You've convinced me, I'll rush right out and buy a mini.

The initial rush is wearing off? You realize that you're taking the time to post this insightful comment on an FJ cruiser website 2 months before the vehicle even hits showrooms, right? The initial rush is wearing off! You convinced me. You sound like the person who goes to e-bay to buy xbox 360 and since he can't find one for less than a grand, says he was going to wait for Playstation anyway. The initial rush is wearing off.... priceless.
