I now understand Back-up beeper

I got stuck trying to merge into a long line of traffic in a parking lot and realized another way out so I looked in my rearview mirror and actually turned around saw it was all clear, threw it in reverse and was about to do a Starskey & Hutch move into a parking space when a horn starts to wail and back-up beepers went off. Evidently there was a small rice-burner below the spare tire that was 100% out of view. The back-up alarm just went to solid tone when I slammed on the brakes. I was shocked and can only imagine what the other driver felt. Only when I merged into traffic could I see the car.

need the nav unit with rear camera!

But didn't you just get that urge to keep going and turn that rice burner into a rice pattie?
