I though they would be far more destructive than they were. Thats still pretty bad though.

Whoa, welcome back TRDbrick! I almost didn't recognize you because of your lack of typos.
haha...yeah I know, I'm growing up...ha, hey I still like fj's though... but anyway It dosn't look to bad. here is a list of what they shouldn't have done.

1. put "gangster rims" on.
2. put way to big tires on before sombody thought of cuting the wheel wells.
3. put tv/fountain.
4. got rid of the hard top.
5. got rid of O.G. rims.

That 40 was on ebay not long after that. I think it was just fine before they pimped it.
Yeah, not sure what she got for it. They basically tried to polish a turd. The engine still ran horrible, had the usual leaks everywhere. A lot of rust in the undercarriage. I read a lot about the cars they did the first couple of seasons and how they did nothing to fix the mechanics of the vehicles they pimped. They eventually started doing some work to be sure they ran clean as well.

I would have liked to have seen how they could have pimped it for offroad. Made it a real trail rig, but in a West Coast style.

So true. I've always thought that about the show. Bad visual taste, TVs, 20's, and NO mechanical work or upgrades. Hell, some of the vehicles barely make the drive into the Pimp My Ride garage!

I would much rather be 'Overhauled' by Chip Foose and his team. Now that would be a sweet FJ with Foose at the helm.

Hmmm . . . . What would be "reasonably priced??"
Allow me to rephrase: I'd like to find one that I could justify buying with my limited budget.
