Re: Happy 4th of July. How are you going to celebrate?
Woodsman was sawing logs this morning. No, not snoozin' and snorin' but actually sawing logs . . . good size poplar logs to be more precise That means that now I have some lumber to stack so that somewhere down the road I can reproduce some of my favorite furniture from this book - ->The Heritage of Upper Canadian Furniture signed LIMITED EDITION | collectivator.com

Re: Happy 4th of July. How are you going to celebrate?
Started off with 2 growlers of fresh Stone brewery beer. 2 liters of Old Guardian Barley wine and 2 liters of Vertical Epic. Plenty of cheap coors and tecate in the cooler if that runs out.
Next is the beef. 4 Giant 2.5 inch thick tenderlions. Dry aged 14 days, Seasoned overnight in a mixture of hickory bacon salt, lemon pepper, and garlic powder, finally wrapped in thick cut applewood smoked bacon.
Sauce Will be a white wine, cream reduction with a splash of truffle oil, chantrelles and portabello mushrooms.
Finally the filets will be topped with blue chese crumbles
Corn on the cob soaked in soy sauce overnight and thrown straight on the grill with no foil or husk.
Then back to the beer.

Well, now that it's after 11:00 PM EST...earlier today I stayed with my 90 YO parents, my 62 YO brother, his daughter, son and ex and we talked about my 64 YO sister who passed away last Thursday, June 25th, from pancreatic cancer.
Today was her second favorite holiday...Christmas was her favorite!
Here's to Roz, NYPD #77

Re: Happy 4th of July. How are you going to celebrate?
Well not the best 4th I've had. Took my sisters to Durango to fly home after the funeral. Then dad and I went to a brewery and had salmon and beers, so that was good.
I had to stop for a few driving home to wait for the fireworks to stop. Then had a couple with the folks across the way and shoot a few into the air. Most fireworks are legal out in the county where I live.
