Re: Ellis Precision Interior Handles Group Buy

Sandi K!!!

Thanks again for your question, and now I have an answer.

The dyes they use are organic, and will eventually break down if left in direct sunlight. As for a time frame, they couldn't give me one. They suspect many years for the handles application as they won't always be seeing sunlight, like my bike parts I guess. If you could use a windshield cover or something you might be in better shape 10 years down the road.

They do offer a UV "proof" dye and sealant, but this is for a black application only. It costs "significantly" more. When I inquired for numerical figures they were again unable to answer because part size and number of parts per batch plays into the price a lot. If we can get 30 handles (not sets) or so I think we can offer UV proof anodizing for about $5 per handle more. I was tempted to just throw it in for this group buy, but I'm at the point with these that I could easily lose money, so @ $5 per handle I feel fairly safe. Any more and I guess I'll have to eat it and bump the price up next time. This is for black only.

Thanks guys,

Joel

Joel,
Since I threw my hat in for (4) in Black, what's another $20? Now you'd need another 26 to make it worth while.

Re: Ellis Precision Interior Handles Group Buy

I would gladly pay 20 bucks more to keep them from "possibly" fading. A small price to pay, IMO.

Count me in on that.

I'd be okay with the extra charge for the UV dye/sealant for my 4 black. Don't want you to lose money on these handles.

Joel:

Me too! Dye fade-proof for $20?? In all the way.

And thanks SO MUCH for checking out on this to add in the "comfort factor." Four black with the dots to match the dash, as shown. How do I get you payment and shipping info?

Sandi
