Seems that the coating relates to the amount of heat it can control. Looks like all the headers are the same, but the coating protects the headers from heat damage and corrosion.

Nice link, USMC_Sgt. Thanks!! Now I know too...
As for the cat-back only, TiFJ, I don't see that being a problem if someone will let you tack it on. I am trying to get my cash together and if I can before the deadline I'd do it.

Thx for the info! Still on the fence since I just bought wheels a couple weeks ago & a cat-back exhaust yesterday. I still got plenty of time to decide.
How much are you guys getting quoted for the hack of the oem cats & re-welding to the new headers? Also, how difficult's the install? I've never done an install on any suv/truck. Just on sports cars.

Man.. Joel.. I've been eyeing this for a long time and REALLY want them. I need one of those fancy trees you have.. You know, a money tree!
With the aFe CAI going into round 4 now, I am sure these will be off like a rocket!
Count me in. For now lets say the S/S but I will most likely go with Titanium's. Let me know when you absolutely need a decision on s/s or titanium.(I'm hoping around May30th)
Do these headers combine to a single exhaust? - I assume they do. I saw on the JBA site that it said 6 hours for installation. Is this an accurate assumption?
Please PM me the price on the stainless steels.
You do all know that these are not straight bolt on, but require welding them in place.
No, they are not a straight bolt-on. They bolt to the engine block but require a weld to the existing pipe to the catalytic converter. This doesn't bother me because I basically have a custom exhaust from the catalytic converter back. Seen below: Its a MagnaFlow XL 11288 single port in / dual port out that drops under the FJ about 4in after it exits the muffler. Currently the sound is great and now with the aFE CAI its got pep too. From what I've read this will give me a little bit more of each, then I am done until Joel does a GB on a supercharger! *hint* Joel

I love my girlfriend...
She can MIG and TIG. Yes these require welding, nothing an exhaust shop can't do. This mod isn't a minor one.

I believe they do. 6 hours... I don't know? Ask someone who has had them installed, there are threads. I will try to find one...
