Great minds think alike I've asked for more info about the mesh as well, specifically some photos so I can see the structure. The cross-bar version is rated overall at 350lbs and I know someone who has loaded it to @ 500lbs without problems. I do wonder about the lbs/sq in not being spread over the mesh though...

When I had mine on my Disco, was able to stand on it no problem. Will double check with ARB tech and advise. it should be ok

On the roof rack weight - 200 lbs properly disbursed is not a problem. Consider the rack and tent is close to 200lbs and with two peolpe sleeping it it - you are close to 500lbs - the key is how the weight is dispursed. Make sense??

Also to be crystal - the ARB price increase is happening May 1st. And ARB is promising all orders placed up to then, will be at the old pricing.

Last, alot of people have been asking about adding a snorkel to their orders. Yes they are available in large numbers, however, some of the 08 FJ's apparently have some kind of precleaner air box and the instructions and kit are made for the standard 07 air box.

The official word is that you can still do the install, but you will have to wing how the snorkel and air box mate up. If any one has any actual experience or pics of this, I would appreciate it.
