Re: JBA Headers and/or Exhaust Group BUY!!!

Does the JBA catback install to the stock exhaust locations or does it require additional installation?

Re: JBA Headers and/or Exhaust Group BUY!!!

The JBA performance exhaust is a pretty quick install, with nothing special. Midas did mine for free, since the headers were a bigger job with 5-6 hours of work relating to cutting the catbacks off and attaching them to the new headers. If you don't have a good welder do that, you're going to get some very annoying exhaust leaks pretty quickly.

Last week at 20 below zero (* F), running regular 87 gas on flat, dry ground, I clocked a 0-60 of about 6.75 seconds. Premium gas gets a big boost on this system so I'll be trying that when I get the throttle body spacers installed.

With carbon deposits over time, the drone has backed down to a tolerable level that I don't notice too much anymore. I'm installing the throttle body spacers this weekend possibly.

Re: JBA Headers and/or Exhaust Group BUY!!!

i am interested in a package price for a tbs, cai, and jba exhaust shipped. two questions though. my fj is our primary family vehicle used to shuttle our 2 year old little girl and our newborn baby boy. in your honest opinion, do you think it will be too loud in the cabin for the family car? we can tolerate some additional cabin noise but not anything like my little brothers rice burner hot-rod. also, will it destroy the gas mileage on my fj? I can pay with any method you feel comfortable with.

Sign me up for a set of the stainless steel headers. We are going to have to tear the truck apart to some extent to get the trans fixed/replaced anyway. May as well add some more mods while we are at it.

I found it quite interesting that you are adding performance items yet you are using 87 octane...what's the point? Also, headers and a JBA exhaust won't get you to 6.75, you should learn to time correctly and not mislead others, the JBA exhaust adds MAYBE five horsepower, and the short-headers are a joke and clock in around 7 ponies, no idea why anyone would buy short-headers in the first place. But I can say this. You are NOT at 6.75 seconds 0-60.

Hey FJoel,
I sent you a pm about picking up that catback system. That price is just too good to let go. Looks like i am eating ramen this week so i can have a great sounding exhaust next week
