Re: JBA Headers and/or Exhaust Group BUY!!!

I found it quite interesting that you are adding performance items yet you are using 87 octane...what's the point? Also, headers and a JBA exhaust won't get you to 6.75, you should learn to time correctly and not mislead others, the JBA exhaust adds MAYBE five horsepower, and the short-headers are a joke and clock in around 7 ponies, no idea why anyone would buy short-headers in the first place. But I can say this. You are NOT at 6.75 seconds 0-60.
so these mods will add maybe 12HP? I wonder how much torque?(#'s prolly at the wheels so +30% or so) and give a sweet a$$ sound to my exhaust. im sold. 50 or 60$ per HP sounds like the norm to me.

question tho,, any performance diff between stainless and ceramic? im thinking the diff is for heat dissipation or something to that effect. should i really worry about that?

also, would these mean i would have to get a tune?( especially when combined with a CAI right?)

one last one,, on my old car, i remember i almost supercharged it, the only reason i didnt was that it required i use the stock manifold,(i bought it with headers already installed and no longer had the stock one) is the TRD or URD SC compatible with these headers? i dont wanna throw away any money, i plan on SC my FJ as soon as its payed off in full (1.5 years left woot).

thx in advance guys,, Fjoel i pmed you.

PS this should have gone in another section maybe??

i am interested in a package price for a tbs, cai, and jba exhaust shipped. two questions though. my fj is our primary family vehicle used to shuttle our 2 year old little girl and our newborn baby boy. in your honest opinion, do you think it will be too loud in the cabin for the family car?
Same questions for me. The stock exhaust already seems a bit loud, definitely dont want one that drones.

Anyone have sound clips comparing the stock to the JBA?

If you really want to unleash a few extra ponies throw in the CAI from aFe as well. I have a group buy on those right now too!

You should have no trouble with these and a SC, either TRD or URD. You are right about the ceramic. The coated ones will be easier on your engine bay, heatwise. Up to you if you think you need it or not. Stock has no coating, but the manifolds are thicker. I went for the coating myself, but that's me.

No tune needed. Your engine will relearn. However, many suggest you have your ECU reset to aid in the new learning. This again, is at your discretion.

This group buy is still good to go, and we've shipped quite a few already! Please PM me for info.

As for durability, I've no idea...

Silver ceramic is a chrome looking coating, where as Ti Ceramic is a grey color. I'm not big on engine bling, but some people dig it. It is much easier to notice the silver headers on an FJ if you want people to notice.
