I really like these. I'm not a hard-core rock climber, but primarily looking to protect exposed components (mainly from brush, tree limbs, and minor scrapes)...
PM sent for pricing...
Also, can you post specs (weights, link to more info, etc.)?

These heavy duty FJ Cruiser skid plates are laser cut from 5052 aluminum (corrosion free) and CNC press formed. Replaces the thin factory sheet metal with heavy duty aluminum from front bumper to rear of tcase. Includes air intake for power steering cooling and oil drain holes.
Complete set for FJ
• Full coverage from the radiator to the back bumper.
• Easy installation, no drilling- fixed to the original holes in the vehicle.
• Air intake included
• No unnecessary movements and screeches
• Each skid plate is made of 5052 aluminum that is 0.23in (6mm) thick.
Total weight for complete set is 84 lbs (38 kg)
Front Bumper Skid Plate
Rasta front skid plates are the best you can find these days.
We enhanced the efficiency of the plate by adding a very important element- an Air Intake
Toyota had to add an Air Intake to cool the front differential because it is in permanent locks. When you install a front skid plate, the differential "suffers" because instead of an Air Intake, there are usually only some holes for cooling purposes.
Rasta has developed a special Air Intake specific for the FJ Cruiser front differential and it’s simulating exactly the functionality of the original one.
It’s also important to know that if you need to change the differential oil, you can do so without taking off the skid plate using the service holes we put in.
Gear Box Skid Plate
Prevent unwanted damage to your lower body with a gear box and transfer skid protection plate
Transfer Skid Plate
The “crooked” hole in this part is specially made in this shape to allow you to change your oil with no need to take off the skid plate.
Needs to be installed with the fuel tank skid plate.
Fuel Tank Skid Plate
Provides you full protection of your fuel tank from road hazards.
Needs to be installed with the transfer skid plate.
Is there any price break down on the individual pieces?

I like the look and idea. $980 is spendy. I wouldn't get the gas tank skid so that may make it more reasonable for me. I like the rest of it quite well for my purposes.

It would be great if I had a clue, but let's face it, that's just not gonna happen.

If this was the case, wouldn't the Toyota factory front skid plate have the ducts built-in? Perhaps someone who's better versed on this topic can shed some light here...
Looks like the budbuilts weigh in at about 120lbs or so (not sure if that includes the gas tank skid). So, for 84lbs of weight savings, I'd consider doing the aluminum.
