This just caught my attention
So I have a few questions
I realize that Warn is a very well respected winch
Is this particular model "all that and a bag of chips"
Meaning will I be happy with it in the long run
Price seems very reasonable
Would a 9000 be needed?
Any Info is appreciated since I just purchased a new front bumper and I will be looking for a winch shortly and I am happy to see this will be running until the end of May.
Don't know a whole lot about Winches and this will be my first one
Thanks
U are correct the Warn name is respected in the offroad community. Jeepers have been using this particular brand for many, many years. Reviews on this particular winch are very good. They last and last. You will not find a better price either. There are a lot of forum member running this particular winch also. Here are the specs on the pulling and ampage use which is enough for the FJ. The seller has agreed to extend this group rate until the end of May. The only difference will be that the price is now $500 with free shipping. So, that is $30 off the normal price. Again, no minimum and no waiting to get this price.
1-(800)337-9005 ex 3222------please call this number to make your purchase and mention "FJ cruiser group purchase".
Bump again for the info above.

I'm really just bumping to help out, but if anyone feels like answering this I would appreciate it:
Should I go ahead and buy a snatch block to use with my shiny new M8000 winch? The WARN snatch blocks are like $75! Ouch! That's a lot for a single pulley. Granted, an "indestructible pulley", but really...how much has anyone ever used their snatch blocks?
Thus far I've collected a tree saver, gloves, snatch strap (not to be used with the winch, I understand), several D shackles, a rear receiver-mounted clevis and of course the winch and power cut-off solenoid. Not yet convinced I need a choker chain, snatch block or additional recovery (non-stretching) strap.
By the way...BUY ONE OF THESE WINCHES...IT'S A GREAT DEAL!!!!

Good question, balancing recovery gear priority with budget. Where did you find the shackles and receiver w/ clevis?

Snatch Block.
I would buy one. Reason: I have used mine twice in less than twelve months. First time was to pull a downed tree off of the trail. Without the snatch block I don't think we would have been able to do it as easily as we did. Second time was for a trail cleanup where we were pulling trash up a steep hill along a narrow road. There would have been no way to get a straight pull on the narrow road we were on without using the snatch block.

Thanks InkMing. Direction of pull...that's a very good reason (actually you make two good points). OK. Snatch block is on the list right behind the CB and dancing hula babe for the dash.
P.S. ...Helping SKINUM again since he got me a great deal..BUY ONE OF THESE WINCHES!!!
