Gobi Ladder Group Buy! $184.99 - Page 11

okay everyone, we've just left GOBI in CO to meet the owners and check on your ladders. Wonderful people and staff! We got to see the Ladders and Racks being made and discussed how the welds are pressure tested, coated, painted etc. These people put out a great product.

Now to 'where is my ladder'? Gobi ships only on Friday's and we were told the first batch of ladders are leaving then. So sorry for the time out off the Forum but its been a straight drive (and some mountain trails). We are back in the office tomorrow but remember , "you can call us if you have concerns".

Some of you have already received your ladder and or rack. So please be patient because your members hit Gobi hard and they are working as fast as they can.

Also keep in mind...their products are in high demand and have to be bent to shape, welded, sent out to be powder coated, returned, boxed and shipped.

So once again, shipping starts this Friday.

Thanks for getting back to us. Might I suggest providing this info sooner so folks wouldn't get concerned and so people wouldn't shy away from future group buys.

Thanks again for the killer deal! I will order my Stealth rack from you in the future!

Hey, just talked to Istvan and he has been at GOBI , seeing first hand the build process etc. His computer has crashed and he is on the road from Colorado to Oklahoma. He will return all inquiries SOmetime Thursday. He wanted me to pass this along. Thanks

Agreed. If you are drop shipping from Gobi and they dont have ladders in hand, probably give the buyers a heads up. You painted a picture of ladders being shipped out the friday after the GB closed. Anyhow. I will hopefully see a tracking # soon.

TRACKING NUMBERS:

GOBI has been sent everyone's e-mail address and ships via FedEx. Once they have the ladder picked up by FedEx a tracking number is generated and you are notified via e-mail from FedEx's tracking program. So keep an eye open on your e-mail account for a FedEx notification.

Gobi will start shipping this Friday I am told so I would guess Forum members will start seeing notifications on their e-mail this coming Monday.

Please understand that there was no way we could have ordered and stocked as many ladders and racks that were ordered by Forum members. We have been doing business with Gobi since 2004 and even they do not stock all of their products, that would be cost prohibitive due to all the vehicle makes they design racks and ladders for. Many times they are made as the orders come in.

We have been notified by FedEx that some Forum members have received their rack or ladder so we are moving right along.

I know its like waiting for Christmas, but boy when it gets here its a blast!

PS We are just about done with lighting pricing and will offer PIAA and Delta to start with.

So then why didn't you TELL us this before you went on your little excursion all the while we were left to ponder.....WHERE THEY WERE????? Just saying....

The PDF did say allow a minimum of 7 business days to ship AFTER the orders are submitted. W/ orders being submitted on 6/5 that puts earliest shipping at 6/16

While Id like to already have my ladder, its well within reason IMO

I am sure Istvan has learned from the first two group buys he has put on here and will improve his process down the road. I recommend he takes after Torasport and actually lists what is in stock prior to begining the group buy - See ARB group buy.

Personally I enquired several times via email and PM what was in stock in the rack group buy which took a few days to actually get a response on. By the time I did receive a response the only rack he had in stock had been guarnteed to another memeber that I believe contacted him after I had about the earliest they could get a rack. Anyways Istvan did list out that if he didn't tell you otherwise your rack and ladder wouldn't ship until after the 16th in the pdf he sent.

I ended up ordering directly from GOBI as I had been in contact with them several times and was happy with their customer service and the rack was similarly priced to the group buy. Ordered the rack last Monday....it arrived with my free ladder on Friday.

I am guessing Istvan will take a few lessons learned away from this group buy and improve his communication/customer service in the future.

You will be quite happy with you ladders when they arrive...GOBI does make a high quality prodcut.
