Just thought you guys might like to see my Saiga YZ-109 semi-automatic 12 gauge (yes, it's a 12 gauge). It has a 19" threaded choke with a Tromix Shark Brake, Saiga thumbhole skeleton buttstock, Halo quad rail, Green laser with QD mount and pressure switch, Eotech model 511 red dot site, Surefire 6P 80 lumen LED flashlight, Tal-4 vertical grip, two 10 round magazines, one Saiga 5 round magazine, and a Sportlight tactical case. It'll shoot one ounce slugs in a 3" circle at 100 yards. Pretty amazing gun.

Nice. I've had a Tromix S17 for the last year and it's a total hoot to shoot. I love this thing. (yes, it's an NFA-registered SBS). Nothing like a 12g semi-auto with an 8" barrel.
GREAT looking shotgun. I'd love to have one but to set it up like I'd want....it's like $2300. Too rich for my blood for a shotgun, but cool none the less.
So, what's the reliability on the Saiga's you guys have shot? I want to hear it's 100% before I'd even consider it.

I've yet to have a problem after probably 200 rounds. I just give it a good cleaning after each use. FYI, I bought the bare bones version for just over 400.00, and expended another 800.0 to get it where it is today. Prices for aftermarket add-ons have actually gone down since I got mine due to their popularity. It is a hoot to shoot.

I shot two different ones built by two different people; one was flawless and the other would barely run at all. Same day, same range, same ammo.
Were the makers known shops? If so, which one ran and which one didn't? Just curious.....I doubt I'll get one before they get banned, but if I have the opportunity, I'd be very tempted to get one.
Thanks,
Sean

Tromix is pretty much the considered the master of the saiga 12. I talked to him about 5 months ago when I was purchasing one of his suppressors to mod my 870...he told me that he was booked through 2011. The good news is that he sells all of his components and you can do the build yourself with directions laid out on the saiga 12 forum.
I have one sitting in my vault waiting for some time to get it done.
