Not much for words today huh??? OK I will start the conversation....
Nice gun...
Good concept...having a sidearm that takes the same round as your PDW (FN P90)
Expensive rounds
Doc
Well, I'm still working on my first cup of coffee. Yeah, it would be a fun gun, but expensive to shoot. Think I'd rather have it in a 22LR for plinking.

I have a Five Seven. Anyone want to buy it? I'm trying to get money for a vinyl cutter and printer.
I guess my pictures are on my desktop.... In the upper right corner you can see my father in law shooting it. With my D300 taking 8 pictures per second I was able to capture this ring of fire. Hard to see I know.
I'd take $800 for it. I should have 6 boxes of ammo or something too.

The FiveseveN pistol is on my list. I do own a PS90 and love it. The PS90 stays with me in the bedroom at night and rides in the FJ on road trips. Looking to start reloading in this caliber. I can use the same powder as with my .30 carbine.

Think i remember reading somewhere they (FN) HIGHLY do not recommend reloading this round. Search and you will find a forum where some guy, who seemed to be very knowledgeable about reloading by his posts, blew apart his FiveseveN and nearly lost a finger or two. FN wouldn't even replace his destroyed gun because he was using reloads. Just tried to find that thread, but no luck.
I think they make fine stuff though and while the 5.7 round may be a little pricey, at least it's always in stock around here

Hmmm, I'll look that up. I think I know what i'm doing with reloading. But what caused that?
The 5.7 stuff to me isn't all that pricey. Much of the 5.56 and 7.62 stuff costs more.

If i remember correctly, i think it had something to do with firing out of battery. Not sure why that happened though. But the person it happened to was told by FN that the 5.7 round is a lot harder to get perfect than your normal reloads, and that they did not recommend doing it.
The only thing i could come up with searching for that thread was other threads talking about it

I saw that thread too...can't find it either, I guess that now it is urban legend
I like the PS90...I'd like it better if they did it in .17 hmr
That is some good info, thanks. Ya, I'm running into the same stuff online. The problems seem to be with primers? Maybe too high, not seated? The magazine in my PS90 seems to not lend itself to this, nor the pistol. Again I need to search more.
